Second Look - Boardgame reviews in depth. Check out that cat.A while back ago I had written about 404: Law Not Found, a silly sounding game where Robots lost their 3 main law after an upgrade, and received 3 new directives. Not all these new directive make much sense, but they have to follow them.

The game, while being very silly on the surface, is actually very strategic. A lot of thought needs to be put into your actions so you can make the most of your turns. While your directives may not be very hard to solve, you have to deal with the other robots getting in your way, the stupid humans bungling everything, or a very clever monkey doing his best to do whatever it takes to get a banana. A 25 piece jigsaw puzzle may be easy, but not when you’re blindfolded on a roller coaster with a primate tossing in random puzzle pieces.

If you manage to complete all your directives before the final event in the game, you win! If not, the player with the highest point value from their completed directives win. Hopefully there’s still  a ship and crew left by the time that happens.

I’m glad to see the game has already been funded on Kickstarter. Of course there’s some great stretch goals to be unlocked still. 404: Law Not Found is a bit of a brain burner wrapped in a silly theme, and I’m pretty sure a lot of you out there would really enjoy it.

A prototype version of 404: Law Not Found was provided free for review by 3DTotalGames.
