The Oscar nominee will star in the action thriller Run All Night, which Deadline says Warner Bros.
Watch Snitch Online Producing horror movies on micro-budgets has proven good business for Blumhouse Productions, the company behind the Paranormal Activity franchise. Last fall they debuted the slick mystery horror story Sinister. The $3 million dollar movie from Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill not only won rave reviews from critics, but also earned a whopping $77 million worldwide. So, it's no surprise that Blumhouse is looking to build a new franchise from this solid base.
Watch Warm Bodies Online Deadline reports Derrickson and Cargill, who wrote the first film together, are back on board for the sequel as writers. Derrickson will also produce, and is in talks to return to the directors chair. As to cast that might return (spoilers ahead if you haven't seen Sinister), it wouldn't make sense for Ethan Hawke to return, though it seems likely we'd see little Clare Foley again in some capacity. No details are being dropped on where the sequel might lead, but based on the first film, it's pretty easy to guess.

Anyhow, in Sinister, Hawke starred as Ellison Oswalt, a formerly famous true crime novelist in desperate need of another hit book. So, he moves his family to another town with a savage and unsolved murder mystery. Moreover, he moves them into the house of the victims. Trying to uncover what happened to the family who was mercilessly murdered where his now lives, Oswalt uncovers a ghostly serial killer who torments families into fleeing to a new home…then invades once more to kill them. It creates a ghastly pattern that was completed in the film's final act, leaving the Oswalt home vacant, and ready for its next unwitting victims.
Watch Phantom Online Looking back, it's obvious Derrickson and Cargill left themselves a door to a possible franchise. Of course more of the same won't be good enough for horror fans the second go 'round. But I'm not worried. The first film showed both of these writers to have a deep respect for the horror genre as well as an intriguing and sick imagination. So, I'm confident that with this sequel they'll take the opportunity to dig deeper, and show us something freshly terrifying.

At least, that's how much it cost someone to get into the specific pair of pants that Cooper wore for his Oscar-nominated role in David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook. Nat D. Sanders handles Hollywood memorabilia auctions on its Web site, with an SLP prop dump concluding on Feb. 28. Not surprisingly, props associated with Cooper's co-star – Jennifer Lawrence – fetched top dollar in the auction, thanks (no doubt) to her recent Best Actress win at the Oscars. The coat she wore in the above photo went for a whopping $4,652, while the custom-made pants that the actress wore in the climactic dance scene nabbed $3,493. That's some serious coin to drop for articles of clothing worn by stars in movies, even if they are authentic "screen-worn" items, as promised by the site.

The Oscar dress that tripped Lawrence on her way to the podium at the Academy Awards. That's Hollywood history at this point, though the legacy of JLaw is really just beginning. Typically, when we hear that Liam Neeson is being attached to a crime-centered movie, we here at Cinema Blend tend to fist pump in anticipation of seeing him sneer at a bad guy before pounding some scowling scoundrel into submission. Because that's what you get for messing with Liam Neeson! But the latest casting news from THR reveals a change-up in our expectations as Neeson has signed onto to a crime comedy cartoon, in which he will voice the role of a villainous raccoon. Sounds good to us! (Really, any Neeson, is good Neeson.)
Based on the short film Surly Squirrel, which you can see here, The Nut Job follows a cantankerous squirrel whose been banned from the city park because of his bad attitude. To survive the winter, he and his fellow outcasts will need to pull off a risky heist, robbing Maury's Nut Store. This movie marks the feature directorial debut of Peter Lepeniotis, who helmed Surly Squirrel, and is also the first feature-length film produced by emerging animation studio ToonBox Entertainment. Penned by Brother Bear scribe Lorne Cameron, this animated adventure's strongest asset appears to be a voice cast that includes not only Neeson but also Will Arnett (as Surly), Brendan Fraser, Jeff Dunham, Katherine Heigl, Avatar's Stephen Lang, and Cosmopolis' Sarah Gadon.
They're also currently filming the airplane-based thriller Non-Stop for Warner, so this would complete an action trilogy … or mark the beginning of an unlimited and fruitful action partnership. Run All Night would cast Neeson as a Mob hitman who must spend an evening fighting back against his high-powered former employer in an effort to protect his estranged son. Warner Bros. picked up the spec script almost a year ago, and thinks Neeson would be an ideal head-crunching lead for yet another action movie. I continue to find it odd that Neeson, at the ripe older age of 60, is having a career rebirth as Hollywood's most bankable action star. And I'm genuinely curious to see how long audiences will continue to believe him in this role. But for now, the Liam Neeson action train will continue to roll as the actor prepares to Run All Night, possibly with a familiar director at the helm.
