Level-5, creators of the recent Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and Dragon Quest VIII among others, have a fifteenth anniversary this year; and to celebrate, they have announced three new games which will be coming to iOS and Android smartphones. The three new games are RPGs of varying style, and some of them feature collaborations with some familiar names in the industry.

Wonder Flick is a game about finding loot, and it features an art style similar to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.  Legendary composer Final Fantasy composer, Nobuo Uematsu, will provide the music. The game seems appropriate for players who enjoy hunting for loot in their RPGs. "You go on the hunt, find rare items, and trade in your equipment for stronger items. It's a game that tries to pursue what makes traditional RPGs fun."

If you're looking for an RPG that isn't as traditional as Wonder Flick, then you should consider Maijin Station, a strategy RPG where players battle over Japan's territory via the country's railway system. The artist from Fire Emblem: Awakening, Yusuke Kozaki, will supply the game's visuals. The game will also feature supernatural themes, as players will be piloting a demon train. According to Ishii, "It's a command-based RPG that you can control with one hand and enjoy in short periods of time." Unfortunately there's not much more information on the game.

Last but not least, Level 5 announced Chikyu Kaimetsu teki B-kyu Kanojo. The game will have a post-apocalyptic setting where the males have gone extinct. Players will control an all-female-cast of mercenaries using a battle system that draws influence from slot machines.

Level 5 hasn't announced if the three games will be coming to territories other than Japan.  Chikyu Kaimetsu teki B-kyu Kanojo is slated to release next month for iOS devices, and it will be coming to Android devices shortly after. The rest of the games will be coming out some time in 2013.
