LL Cool J's 13th album "Authentic" is almost upon us (unless you got the leak already!).
One of the bonus songs from the album is the DJ Premier produced cut titled "Jump On It".
"Jump On It" has some typical "Hip-Hop-Veteran Lyrics" and also some ironic lyrics to boot. The first 4 bars covers that perfectly:
It was meant to be/
Hip hop died, reincarnated through me/
Now the promoters gotta double my fee/
'Cause these pop melodies ain't fucking with me/
"Jump On It" is one of the few featureless songs from "Authentic" which has a wide array of features including the likes of: lead-guitarist from Van Halen - Eddie Van Halen, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Rage Against The Machine lead-guitarist Tom Morello and R&B singers such as Charlie Wilson, Seal and Joe. The Hip-Hop features include Snoop Dogg, Fatman Scoop and Chuck D.
Tomorrow not only sees the release of "Authentic" but also TheKoalition.com's "13 LL Cool J Tracks Everyone Must Hear" playlist.
Be sure to check out both of those tomorrow.
