Twitter acquires the key component for its music app, right after a celebrity confirms its existence Apr 11th 2013, 23:27 We Are Hunted Twitter has officially announced the?acquisition?of We Are Hunted, a music discovery service that?continuously scanned the Internet to identify the hottest new music in the world. CNET previously wrote about the acquisition in March, but it has now officially been announced. The We Are Hunted?acquisition?by Twitter comes as it readies a standalone music app. According to several reports, the We Are Hunted technology is said to be integrated into the Twitter Music application and will stream music over SoundCloud if the artist has chosen to host their music on the service. If a song isn't listed on SoundCloud, users will be directed to an iTunes preview.
