Heya TouchArcade friends!
It's been quite awhile since we've had anything new to announce here. The last time was when we worked with Fun Infused Games to port Hypership Out of Control! to iOS.
My wife and I have formed a company, and we've decided to make a go of it. We're working really hard on new games. Our first release is a spelling game for kids called Happy Piggy! I hope you'll indulge me for a short backstory.
We have a three year old daughter, and she loves playing games on my iPhone and iPad. She's a really independent little girl and doesn't like me to be hovering over her all the time when she's playing. It's a real problem when we get her a kids game, and it's loaded with constant IAP upselling or confusing menus that are several layers deep. I'm sure many parents reading this have experienced these same annoyances.
So we decided to make a game specifically for really little kids, with nothing to confuse them or with anywhere for them to get stuck. We made it bright and colorful, with simple controls.
I recognize that it's not the sort of game that the majority of the TouchArcade audience would be interested in, but if you have young children and want to check it out, I'd really appreciate your feedback. (I've spent the last three weeks porting our game framework to Android, and now the game is there too if that's the sort of device you prefer.)
