Believe it or not, I actually had several songs in mind which could have been the subject of this week’s MTSTAG but faced with multiple options which illicit equal aural satisfaction from the listener, my brain rebuked responsibility and chose to instead do the opposite and place a game in front of you.
We’ve done this before so it’s nothing new really. Instead of a song, we’re giving you a game and all you need to do is suggest a song that would be perfect for the game. This week’s game is DmC: Devil May Cry.
Love it or hate it, the game is fun to play and has a glorious visual style accompanied by some sublime level design. There’s also a banging soundtrack steeped in enough metal to give you lead poisoning so we’ve decided to slap some constraints on the song’s you may suggest. You aren’t allowed to suggest anything close to heavy metal. In fact the further away from it you are the more eGamer points you’ll earn (these are rewards-based incentive points redeemable at your nearest participating video store).
So to sum it all up. Give us a song that fits in with Ninja Theory’s DmC and keep it like our petrol – free of heavy metals and expensive so that means no Ke$ha.
