Google makes new Gmail compose window default for all users. Gmail, Google, Email 0

Google will make its new email compose experience, that's been optional since October, the default for all Gmail users. The company says the change comes after hearing positive feedback from email frequenters.

The new compose experience launches into a small window in the bottom left of the screen, rather than launching a whole new page like before. This creates for an easier multitasking environment where you can read emails while writing a new one, which is great for gathering details.

No features are lost with the smaller compose windows, either. You can still add?attachments with Google Drive, add recipients under the "to", "cc" and "bcc" fields, print, check spelling, and alter text just the way you want it. You can also launch the compose feature into a sperate, entire window outside of Gmail.?

Right now, you can still access the old compose mode if you're so inclined, though Google says "the old compose will be going away soon." It asks users to submit their opinions of the changes through Google+.

Other than a few UI enhancements, replying to emails hasn't changed much. It still falls under the message you've just read.?
