Get some advice if you're facing the benefit cuts
Today is, of course, the annual nightmare for all news operations, including our own.
We’ve been bombarded with stories about the next generation of tech that will blow your mind. And, as it is every other year, the challenge is to figure out which, if any of them, are true this April Fool’s Day.
We’ve got YouTube’s “competition” and Google’s “treasure map”, just to name a couple of the more obvious ones.
To be honest, it’s not very funny.
But, this April 1st, there are a few other things that aren’t very funny either.
One of them is the welfare reforms that are coming into effect today that will leave thousands of people in the UK very confused about where they stand.
As ever in these times of uncertainty, there’s one place that UK residents can always rely on to give them solid, no-nonsense advice: the Citizens Advice Bureau.
We’re sorry to rain on the jocular parade today, but this government’s raft of benefit cuts could leave many people out of pocket, so we thought it worthwhile to highlight somewhere people can find some help.
